Allamanda Quilters, quilting and labeling demonstrations at the October 26, 2010 meeting

Micki MacCumber held a pre-meeting meeting with her Jump Start Block-of-the-Month group, to provide illustrations and discuss the various quilting techniques available to members for this important, almost last step to making a quilt.
Jo Loder conducted a workshop on what some people call the last step in quilting -- labeling.  A quilt label identifies the maker, date completed and recipient.  Quilts are often a legacy, made with love to recognize special occasions or to provide comfort to strangers.  Labels help guard against theft, tell a story or send a special message.  There are many fun ways to make labels and to incorporate them into a finished product.

Not to forget that chapter meetings are also for projects, Monique Foley was working on another quilt.
